Annabel is not one to make friends easily. Over the past few years she has built up a guard where it is hard for her to trust most people. She see's their true nature before they can show it to her, and she would rather stay far away from people if it were possible so there would be no possibility of a person she cared about turning on her and showing just how right she was about the digusting nature that can be humans at times. She knows not all are evil, in fact, a lot are not, but it's hard for her to even fathom that some one out there might actually care for her. However if it is possible for another being to get that across to her, and somehow prove to be trustworthy, then I guess those few can be put here.

It's definately more likely that Annabel will have a few of these, only because she isn't afraid to speak her mind. And sometimes to much honesty makes her vulnerable to the vicous attacks of others. if she makes a snide remark once or twice it seems she always gets someone angry. though Anna does not try to be like that, she just tells it how it is, and doesn't think about how people might feel until after the fact; it's actually one of her major flaws.

it's quite possible she'll find someone to love, if a person can get to the stage where it's even an option and they share same ideas to some extent, Annabel would fair pretty well with a lover. She is honest, loyal, and trustworthy. If someone is able to make her trust them and she would give up her life to protect them, then love is quite possible for Annabel. As long as the person could handle the baggage she carries.

I'm thinking that they could be frenemies, if it makes sense. I'll try to explain.

See, Alphie doesn't have the most stable emotional responses ever, due to her extremely bad habits. Perhaps, as Anna's a listener, she could listen to Alphie's problems and try to offer advice. At those points, they'll be friends. However, if a piece of advice Alphie undertook went wrong, she'd get pissed off and think that that was what Anna had wanted in the first place, especially if she'd been indulging herself (drugs or drink) beforehand.

That seems reasonable enough. To add to that, Annabel usual fakes any friendship she has unless she learns to some how really trust the person. But she'd still try to give the girl advice. With their personalities I bet they'd be the type of 'frienemies' that piss each other off, but it's kind of like a game. Plus Anna could handle if Alphie flipped on her, though I'm not promising she won't be slapped, Anna can be a bit cruel at times. ^^

I definitely think that Gunner and Annabel could be friends. However, Gunner is the complete opposite. Gunner trusts thoroughly until someone proves that he shouldn't have, thus leaving him on the mend more than he is actually happy. I feel like Annabel could possibly shape him into a less trustworthy, and therefore happier person. Even though you say that Annabel usually fakes her friendships until she finds out the person is trustworthy, I feel like this wouldn't hamper Gunner's view of her, since he probably wouldn't even notice it.

That seems like a good idea on how they would fair together. Although, I'd like to add that Annabel would probably not understand exactly who Gunner can act so trustworthy, and maybe that's why she tries to find more about him. It's one of her quirks to learn about people's exterior feelings that they show to everyone, so long as she doesn't delve deep into who they are and thus have a chance of being hurt. But, I feel if she came to know him, she might begin to trust her little by little, it just might be a slow process, but if Gunner can handle it so can she ^^
