Brooke had been getting ready to see Lorcan, opting to go with a fancy dress anyway, even though they were just hanging out at his apartment, eating candy, drinking and watching horror movies, but it was halloween and she always dressed up on halloween, it was like a tradition. Rich had texted her asking to see her, but she texted him back saying she couldn't hang out with him for long, she was going out but he could call round. When he arrived she was already dressed in her outfit and was now doing her hair. Wow, I want to go where you're going tonight! he grinned at her. Brooke just smiled but rolled her eyes as well. He could be a sleaze sometimes and that was one of the things she didn't like about him. So is it a girls night out? he asked her and she shook her head. Just going to Lorcan's to hang out. She told him. Aren't you a little dressed up? Think you could spare just a minute? he asked moving closer to her and trailing his hands down her body. Not for that, we agreed you wouldn't do this she sighed. Do what? he asked her. Pressure me? she said, annoyed that he didn't actually know what she was talking about. What I said was that I would wait for the right time...you know there are plenty of girls who would want a piece of me he told her. Yeah okay... she shrugged. Why don't you want to do it Brooke? We've been together a while now. he said to her. Yeah, but we've been on and off so much, I just want it to be special and right now, this isn't special...it's not the right time. she said. It's never the right time Brooke, you're a fucking tease...I'm done, we're done. I can find some other girl that will satisfy me more than you anyway. he said and left, slamming the door after him which made her flinch.
She felt the tears fall down her face, lucky she hadn't done her make up yet, it wasn't the fact that she got dumped by him, she didn't love him, she hadn't done for a while. It was the reason why she had been dumped. He hadn't respected the fact she wanted it to be special, or at least feel special. Rich had just been the biggest jerk ever. She wiped her eyes and did her make up, looking at the clock she was running on time, at least that was something. She did feel like she was just going to cry again, she grabbed a purse and put some make up in, at least she could top it up on the car journey since her dad was giving her a lift. She was either going to stay the night or get a taxi home. She didn't know why she was putting so much make up on anyway, maybe it was the character she was dressed up as, a nurse....they would wear a lot of make up, even so, it wouldn't matter if it had run, she just didn't want to look bad. Yeah he was her best friend, he had seen her many times without make up in sweatpants and her hoodie, but this was different. She kind of wanted to go out and get drunk now, but she didn't want to ruin the night they were going to have by suggesting it, she just kind of wanted to forget about it. Dad, I'm ready! she called to him downstairs as she came down. He gave her a disapproving look. Its just Lorcan and I she sighed. Why the need to dress up then? he asked. We thought it would be fun, can we just go? she asked him. She didn't want to start crying in front of her father, then she would have to explain why, and then why she had been dumped. She couldn't go into that with her father, there was no need.
She had managed to do her make up in the car, and when she arrived she got out, went into the building and up to his apartment, and then she felt herself starting to cry again, she couldn't understand why he had been such a jerk and hadn't accepted that she wanted to wait. She wiped her eyes and pressed the buzzer, waiting to be let in. She knew being with him would cheer her up at least.

Lorcan had actually been looking forward to tonight since him and Brooke had actually planned it at Dunkies that Saturday. Standing in front of his bathroom mirror, he couldn’t help but smirk at the reflection that gazed back at him. He looked good. He hadn’t done much in the dressing up part as he hadn’t really had time to look at the mall for a real costume that week what with the hectic schedule he had with work and by the time he had actually got there all the good ones had run out so what he was wearing now had basically be mustered up from his closest. He wore a crisp black shirt, with a pair of black pants and shoes, a bright red tie hung around his neck. For make-up he wore some power that whitened his face slightly with a tiny bit of eyeliner. He was going to put some fake blood running from him lips but the smell of it changed his mind instantly. “You could definitely pass as a modern day Dracula, only sexier and less creepy,” he muttered to himself, chuckling quietly as he run his hands through his jet black hair, making sure it looked good yet not perfect. Nodding in improvement, he finally left his bathroom and began to quickly sort out the living room, making sure it at least look presentable for Brooke which didn’t really take him that long. He was actually a tidy person and rarely ever just ‘left’ things lying around and tidied things up after using them.
A few minutes later, after he was finally satisfied with the condition of the living room, he decided he better start getting the room ready for the night. Grabbing the packet of popcorn out of the cupboard, he poured them into a huge orange bowl and after shovelling a handful out so he could munch on now; he carried it over to the small coffee table that sat between the big leather couch and the big TV. He then got the ten or so horror films that he owned from the shelf and placed them in a stack next to it. At least they had a variety so they could choose which ones they actually wanted to watch instead of being stuck with just one or two. Then he got the big bottle of coke and two tall glasses and put them next to it too before slinging a long fleece blanket over the back of the couch for just in case it got cold later. He was actually rather impressed at how prepared he was. Of course, he had a feeling he was actually missing something but he had no idea what. It wasn’t as if he needed candy to give to the kids that knocked on his door as there wasn’t any who lived his building and thankfully his neighbours rarely ever let them in. “Oh yeah,” he said to himself as he made his way back over to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of vodka and a bottle of whiskey out of the fridge bringing them other to the coffee table too. He just hoped that the coffee table didn’t actually break from the weight.
“There’s something else though...” he sighed once more as he glanced around the room, nothing of interest really coming at him. Of course, he was so absorbed in trying to figure it out that he jumped out of his skin when the door buzzed. “I guess I’ll figure it out sooner or later,” he shrugged as he made his way over to the telecom. “Hey, I’ll buzz ya in but if you fucking trick or treating, miss my door, okay? I don’t have anything to give ya. Though is it’s the beautiful Brooke come on up honey. Walk straight in too. I’m scared that the guy opposite me will kidnap you. You know how better looking than me he is,” he chuckled quickly before buzzing her, knowing that they both knew how far from the truth that statement was. The guy was a fat bald guy who had the tendency to perve of the girls who walk on the street below. As he waited for her to come up, Lorcan decided to double check his make-up in the bathroom mirror.

Brooke smiled when she heard Loran on the speaker phone oh yeah defiantly she said playing along with it. She actually hated the guy, he creeped her out and every time she went to see Lorcan she could see him watching from the window, she shivered at just the thought of him. She went up and straight in as he said to do, and she smiled when she saw him, giving him a hug. Well don't you look suave! she grinned, she tried her best not to let it falter but right then she failed. she shook her head though to release the thoughts going through her head. Maybe she should tell him, talk about it to him. don't worry, the guy opposite you did not kidnap me, lucky for you! she smiled at him. She was still putting on an act and she knew he would be able to tell.
so what do you think of my outfit? she asked him and did a little twirl. are you ready for the marathon? she asked him and looked at the selection of DVDs he had brought out. my favourites! she grinned widely. So you have booze right? she asked going into his kitchen area and into the cupboard where she kept the booze. I really need a drink she sighed and poured herself a large vodka with a bit of coke. I've had the worst day she sighed.[ it had been a sunday so she had been exagerating slightly but she'd had so much work to catch up with for college which just pissed her off. She didn't really feel like doing much work since she had been in the mood for a fun night before rich had showed up. She frowned as she sipped her drink just thinking about it. I still haven't finished this monster assignment due Friday, I was suppose to of been working on it a bit each week but I have been so busy you know? And yeah that's no excuse I know. she sighed. I should really concentrate on it this week. she said, it might even be easier since she would have less distractions, Rich being one of them, but she did want to make more time for Lorcan. we should really hang out more. You know I miss you when we don't hang out. Plus you're my oldest friend, I should make time for you anyway. she said with a nod and sighed, she sat down on the couch and patted the seat next to her. sit... she smiled.
So err, Rich came by just before I came to see you she told him. You're right, you've always been right, he's a jerk she said softly. I just never admitted it, I knew deep down, I just kept telling myself that he did have some redeeming qualities. she said and looked at him seriously and felt the tears running down her face. he dumped me she said frowning looking at her drink. because I wouldn't sleep with him. she said quieter. She knew that Lorcan probably figured that she wasn't a virgin, she had never admitted it before, but it actually felt good to admit it now, especially to her oldest and best friend. With her other friends she never denied that she wasn't a virgin, her friends just assumed and she didn't want to admit the truth to them, she knew some of them may judge her.

He grinned widely as he saw her, wrapping his arms tightly around her in a hug before chuckling quietly, “I look suave? I was going for scary,” of course he knew it was evident he wasn’t going for scary. He was just happy that she thought he looked good. Although he knew he didn’t put as much effort into his outfit as she did but at least he tried, right? “I’m glad you think so though. I mean, putting eyeliner on isn’t a easy task for a first timer like me. Oh and lucky me,” he continued to laugh despite the fact that he could tell she was hiding something from him. Just by looking at her, he could tell she was upset about something even if he she wore a smile. The eyes never lie but Lorcan didn’t pry, knowing that she’d eventually tell him when she was ready too.
“Do you really need to ask that question?” He chuckled as he watched her twirl, chewing down on his bottom lip for a moment. Even he had to admit that she looked really hot which was something that he had never really thought about Brooke. Yes, he knew she was beautiful but hot meant something totally different to him. “You looked very sexy. So sexy in fact, if I didn’t have good self control I’d probably ravish you right there on the couch,” he smirked playfully, knowing that that probably wasn’t true. She was his best friend after all. “I’ve been ready all afternoon which is why I’m so organised. I have like ten bags of popcorn ready to be eaten. If you don’t like any of the DVD’s I can always go and get some more from the shelf,” he shrugged, thinking it wasn’t such a bother. “I already put some whiskey and vodka on the coffee table but there’s some more in the cupboard. Just help yourself,” though he wasn’t that big of a drinker, he still bought the stuff just in case. He watched her pour herself a glass, proving his point that she needed to tell him something when she said she had had the worse day. “If you want help with the assignment, I could always help you. I mean, I know I wouldn’t be much help but two heads are better than one, right? That way, we could hang out more and you get it done.” Watching her walk towards the couch, he couldn’t help but feel slightly worried when she told him to sit. Was it that serious that he needed to sit down for it? He just hoped nothing had happened to her family though Brooke wouldn’t have actually come over if something had happened so he didn’t think that for long.
“He dumped you...” He repeated, suddenly feeling angry. How dare the douche dump her, how dare he upset her and how dare he spoil their evening. “He didn’t try to force himself on you, did he? Cause if he did I’ll kill him,” he snarled, getting ready to beat him to a pulp. He didn’t care that if he did so he’d lose his job and probably get thrown into jail but he didn’t care. Jail would have been worth the satisfaction he would have gotten. “Aw, honey. I thought I’d actually be happy when I said I told you so but now I just feel sad. Come here...” he muttered as he wrapped his arms around her, hugging her against him despite the fact that her make-up would at least leak a little on his shirt. He didn’t quite get the fact that she had basically told him that she was a virgin, he just thought that she just didn’t sleep with him, “are you going to be okay?”

She smiled and hugged him back, it was so nice to have a hug when she was feeling kind of crappy, she knew Lorcan could cheer her up anyway.Oh uhh we’ll go with scary if you wish she grinned at him. But you should know that I am not really convinced she grinned at him smiling. Well I would be slightly concerned if you said that you knew how. she said. eyeliner on a guy is just....weird she laughed. She knew that some guys did wear it now but she really didn't get it, okay so they were gay, she had nothing against them being gay...it was the wearing eyeliner, she couldn't understand why guys wanted to do that, she knew that Adam Lambert guy did and he was kind of weird in her opinion, he had a weird look, not that she judged or anything, but she knew that he wouldn't be someone she would go and talk to just randomly because he didn't seem the type that would do that, neither would Brooke usually but she liked to make friends, new and old...she kept them close because they meant a lot to her, she had known Lorcan a long time, and they were practically family in some ways.
She laughed. Wow, I look that good? she asked. I must do since you said look hot. Don't think I have ever heard you say that! she smiled, some of it was to herself because knowing he thought she looked good must have meant she looked really good. Rich had never really complimented her like that. She sighed as again she found herself thinking about him. Why couldn't she just forget him...it wasn't like he was worth it. She hadn't even really loved him for a while now and was glad it was finally over, though she had wanted to be the one to end things. Oh get you! she smiled. And no, those movies are great...you picked out my favourites...well some of them...one or two...I find a little scary, but its halloween and that's the point right? she smiled. She nodded quickly when he offered to help with her assignment Really? That really would be awesome...thanks she said smiling at him, giving him a look he would know meant she was really grateful, because she was. Not that she wasn't good at her course, she loved it, and loved acting, but there was no way she would get the assignment done by friday without at least some help.
She nodded, slowly. I am glad its over though, I just wanted to be the one who ended it. she sighed. She shrugged well...not really...he just got...horney. she sighed, laughing slightly. When he saw me in my costume she sighed. Then when I wouldn't he called me a tease and said it was over. But he's been pressuring me for a while, it just hasn't felt right with him in a while and I wanted the right moment you know? she sighed, talking like he would have known she was a virgin. You can say I told you so if you want. she sniffed. I deserve it. she shrugged and wiped her tears, then hugged him back taking a firm grip, she felt so comforted and safe around him and didn't want to let go. Great, now my make ups run. she sighed. Then she nodded. I should be, I just want to get wasted and forget about him completely. He isn't worth it. she said. I haven't loved him for a while, thats not the reason I'm upset, its because he just didn't respect me enough. I would have thought he would since he was actually nice in the beginning. Oh well she said. I guess we're both single, at least it means that we'll have more time for each other. Rich had taken up a good amount of her life, just because he'd found a way to control her, he knew her weak spots and he knew how to get to her.

“I at least thought that I was a teeny bit convincing,” he laughed, lifting his hand while bending his thumb and index finger towards each other to prove his point. “But then again, we both know I’m not a good liar which may be a good or bad thing, I can never decide,” he continued to chuckle to himself before nodding in agreement, “I think it’s weird too though I think I pull it off, well better than Pete Wentz. Maybe I’ll wear it more often... just not out in public,” he was joking off course. He was bad enough in the mornings as it was and spending more time than he should putting on make-up which would probably only make people at his job hate him more. He was supposed to look scary in front of all the criminals he talk to and somehow he didn’t think eyeliner would help him in that department despite the fact that a lot of the people on parole he saw knew that he wouldn’t take any crap and if they didn’t know they would find out eventually.
“I believe I called you sexy, not hot,” Lorcan pointed out, knowing that it basically meant the same thing, “but you do look hot as well.” Glancing at the DVD’s that lay in a stack on the coffee table, he shrugged his shoulders before nodding, “that is the point. I mean, I think it’s more about the candy now but still. If you do feel scared, you can cuddle up to me. I’ll protect you from the monster,” he said playfully as he looked from the pile back to her, “I’ll stab someone with the eyeliner pencil. That’ll teach them.” He couldn’t help but smile back as he saw how grateful she was for his help, brushing a hand through his jet black hair, he couldn’t help but laugh, “of course I’ll help you. I may not be that grate cause I haven’t done an assignment since I left college but I can least make sure your focused enough to do it, right? Help you research and shit. Come over tomorrow night and I’ll at least make sure you get 50% done... unless your past that mark then I’ll help you get to 100%.”
“He got horny?” He repeated as he glanced down at her outfit, “I’m not surprised to be honest though to dump you just because you ‘were a tease’ is really fucking stupid. I know what you mean by having the right moment. You’ll eventually get the right moment and then you’ll be happy you waited,” he told her as if he was speaking for experience which he wasn’t. He was utterly shocked that she was an actual virgin but had quickly got over it. It made sense. It wasn’t as if they had had long conversations about their conquests which Lorcan was actually happy about. To think of it, the pair had never really talked about sex which the male could finally see why. “I would get no satisfaction from saying I told you so Brooke and you don’t deserve it,” he muttered shaking his head as he continued to hug her, kissing the top of her head gently. Don’t worry about your make-up. You look good enough without it,” he told her as he gently wiped the tears from under her eyes, smudges of her black make-up getting onto his hands. “We can get wasted. I have enough alcohol to make us pass out. Since I have day off sick tomorrow, I don’t have to worry,” he booked the day off in advance. He normally didn’t drink but he thought he’d make this night an exception. “People are always nice in the beginning. Then you fall in love and they turn out to be violent or douchebags... or both,” he sighed as if he spoke from experience before continuing, “at least we will get to spend more time together... though I bet you won’t be single for long. Guys have the tendency to love you Brooke.”

Maybe a little, I’ll give you that much she grinned at him. You’re a really bad liar she agreed But that isn’t a bad thing, at all. she said. You know I hate liars she smiled. aren’t vampires suppose to be suave anyway? she questioned. Well most of them anyway...I think that’s the look that TV and movies certainly give them. she said. I am not too convinced with all the obsessions with vampires right now, I mean the Vampire Diaries is okay...but like, why do we need that AND twilight? she said, it was more of a rhetorical question, she wasn’t really expecting him to reply with an answer. You think you pull it off? Really? she asked joking with him. Pete wentz has the whole weird look going on anyway, I don’t think you suit that look but that is just my opinion.Yeah, I’d save it just for me she smiled. It would be funny though, I bet you’d get some looks from some people she said. That’s always funny. Some people are so judgemental though. It’s not fair is it? she said softly. She knew that Lorcan had been one of those people who got judged in high school, for not being as social as everyone else. Brooke had even got a few bitchy remarks from people herself for hanging out with him, but she didn’t care what anyone else thought about her. Though she cared about her friends and it pissed her off when they had spoken badly about him because they didn’t know him. Of course her best friends she was still in touch with now hadn’t done that though.
Sexy, hot she shrugged putting a hand out palm up with each word. They are basically the same aren’t they? she smiled. Well I am glad you think so she smiled. At least it was worth dressing like this she smiled. Awww you’d let me cuddle up to you? Cute she grinned. If you get scared you can do the same she smiled going along with it. I do happen to love horror movies though, being scared is the best part right? she said. Ouch, painful...I think that would do the trick though, you’d be my hero she grinned. Thanks so much! she said. Well I have done some of it, but not much, it’s not been a case of not being able to...more being too busy. There are some people who think that they are the only ones in my life and seem to want to control what I do she said. Well they did she muttered. And that is why I just haven’t done much. If my parents found out, they would kill me. I mean it’s like writing a script, or the beginning so it has to be like ten pages, I just need some inspiration. You’re stories from work usually inspire me, like what you tell me about some of the people, and how they eventually change their lives around. Maybe I’ll do something like that. she shrugged.
She laughed slightly and slapped him on the arm gently. Hayy! she laughed. Thanks she smiled at him for saying she would find the right moment. It made her feel better. Sounds like you are speaking from experience. she said to him. She was rather open with her love life to her other friends, though she did make one lie, which she hated because she hated liars...that she wasn’t a virgin, though it wasn’t so much a lie, more like she went along with her friends thinking she wasn’t one. They just assumed. She went to get the vodka and poured herself another glass, then sat back down next to him. She hugged him back and smiled. You’re just saying that because your my best friend she said to him about her looking good anyway even though she knew she looked the equililant to a drowned rat with her smudged make up. But thanks anyway she said. That sounds good. We could even go out she smiled. I mean once we’ve watched a few movies. she said. All she wanted was to get drunk and forget about him, which Lorcan seemed up for doing which she was really glad about. That is true she said. It’s a shame. There should be more guys like you around. she said to him. She knew Lorcan wasn’t the way he was with her with everyone, but that made her feel special, and that was what every girl wanted, right? You make me feel special, so you’ll make one girl really happy one day. she smiled but then sighed. She really wished that she could find a guy like him, who would make her feel special. Well they love me for my looks more, they only seem to want one thing, most of them anyway. she couldn’t see herself getting into another relationship anytime soon, not unless they were someone really special.

“That’s true, I do know you hate liars. However, I don’t think other people are quite as appreciative of my honesty,” he shrugged but smiled all the same, “no vampires are supposed to be scary and hardcore but a lot of TV just make them look like pussies now a days,” he had never watched Vampire Diaries or Twilight so he couldn’t really comment on them but he did know what they were about. He would have had to have lived under a rock for the last two and whatever years to not know what they’re both about. “I’d save it just for you though you may have to help me get better at it. Then maybe I wouldn’t get judged... though I think people would probably judge me anyway. It isn’t fair but that’s how the world works and will probably work for all eternity... though if I’m honest, I don’t really help myself, do I? Is it wrong that people judging me amuses me to hell?” And it did amuse him to hell. He’d admit that it used to get to him, people muttering insults to him but then he got used to it. He had Brooke and a handful of other people and that was all he really needed. He knew who he could trust and they all knew they could also trust him.
“Basically they are, yes,” he chuckled as he nodded his head in agreement. “I won’t get scared so I won’t have to cuddle up to you though I may just pretend I get scared just so I can cuddle up to you,” he shrugged his shoulders innocently. He listened to her talk about her essay and the reasons why she hadn’t even started it without interrupting her, “do you mean people or person?” He asked referring to the ex-douchebag who had dumped her before she came over. “I can tell you all about work and shit, though I really don’t think it’ll be of any help. I could help you write a romance play though. Even though I have no social skills, you know I’m a romantic at heart. I could probably help you make whoever actually reads it cry like a baby,” which he probably good. Though Lorcan hadn’t any experience with writing or actually romance he knew how to work people and tug at their heartstrings. Leaning forward, he slowly poured some whiskey from the bottle that was on the coffee table in front of them into the small glass, bringing it to his lips so he could have a sip. He wouldn’t be surprised if he got drunk early tonight seeing as he wasn’t a drinkerbut then again most people never grew toleration for alcohol so even if he was a drinker he would have gotten drunk just as quick.
“Sadly, I’m not speaking from experience. I wish I was but though I’m not a virgin, I wish I did wait for the right person. Don’t get me wrong, sex is great but I don’t think I would have felt so dirty the morning after if I had actually waited,” he shrugged after he moved the glass away, thinking for a moment. “I’m not just saying that because you’re my best friend. I wouldn’t have even said it if I didn’t mean it. What would be the point in even bringing it up?” He said, laughing quietly. He honestly thought she looked got even with panda eyes. “How about we go out now? We can watch films when we come back despite the fact that we’ll be too drunk to even remember how to turn the DVD player on,” he suggested not really caring if they even ended up watching DVDs. It wasn’t as if he hadn’t seen them all before. “If there were more guys like me, you wouldn’t find me special. You would just find me like everyone else which wouldn’t be good, would it?” he laughed quietly as he nodded his head in agreement, “sure one day I’ll make some girl really happy and one day you’ll find someone who will make you happy too. Who knows? Maybe that day will come sooner than we expect.”

Aww, well my mommy told me honesty is always the best policy she said with a smile. I don’t know why more people aren’t honest she sighed. It doesn’t make sense, it would be better if they were wouldn’t it? Or is telling lies better sometimes? she asked. I wouldn’t say pussies...well maybe but at least the most of them are hot she grinned. Makes for better TV than an ugly one all shrivelled right? she laughed. It wouldn’t have half the people watching it if Edward was some old thing. she didn’t really like twilight that much but she knew people wouldn’t be as interested if the actors weren’t decent looking. Yeah...its sad she sighed. I don’t understand it she sighed. At least it amuses one of us, it just makes me angry she laughed. People at school, they didn’t even know you and, well you know they would go on about why I was friends with you, ask me why and all that. I just hated it. They were so wrong to judge you... she said getting a little annoyed talking about it. I don’t really trust many people, and I am glad I don’t have to see the people like them now, even if they were in my social group I would never have called them friends. They either hung around me because they wanted to get to be, and they said things because they were jealous, or some would try and be my friend, it was pathetic. she shook her head. At least I know who my real friends are. she smiled.
Then there you go then she smiled. Are you sure about that? she asked him when he said he wouldn’t get scared. I guess you could pretend though, I mean even if you are secretly scared I’ll pretend that I know your pretending. she winked. person she told him with a smile. Well work could help if it were to be like, a crime drama or something....but I like the romantic better she smiled. I could even get extra marks for making her cry I’d bet! she smiled. I’d bet it would be a damn good script with us two working on it she smiled. I can just picture it...being made into a short movie. of course she was joking, her ego wasn’t that big, plus she didn’t really think ten pages was long enough for a short movie anyway. She looked at him pour his drink, then at him again. You okay? she questioned him.
Well listening to someone else say that makes me feel better about it, everyone just assumes I’m not and I go along with it, I think you’re the only one I’d be comfortable knowing the truth, you’d never judge me. she said to him. She smiled Thanks....you’re really great, you know that? she said looking at him for a while, not saying anything else. She then realised she had gone into a bit of a trance and shook her head out of it. Sorry.... she said and took another sip of her drink, she’d poured straight vodka and was no regretting it, she was starting to get light headed, she decided to put some coke in and went to the fridge with her glass to pour some and put it on the coffee table before sitting back down again. Yeah...okay she smiled. Well actually, I think you would still be special, you could never be anything but special to me, even if there were more guys like you, they wouldn’t be EXACTLY like you she said. I am willing to wait a while, I won’t be jumping into a relationship anytime soon unless they are someone really special. she said to him honestly.

“I think lies are better sometimes even though most of the time the truth comes out anyway. It’s like when someone cheats on another person, the other person always finds out that he had an affair and it would make the person feel even worse knowing that he lied, right?” He sighed, thinking about how he would feel for a moment. Yep, he would feel ten times worse if the woman had said she had been ‘getting her hair done’ at the times instead of telling him she had been sleeping with another person behind his back. “I would say it depends on who the target audience were. The ugly shrivelled up ones would make good TV for all the sci-fi nerds were as hot ones would be better for young females such as yourself,” he laughed thinking about how much Twilight would have been different if Edward was actually scary looking. He probably would have been more interested in the craze. “It shouldn’t make you angry. I mean, it stopped hurting a long time ago thankfully. I mean, I probably would be way more messed up if it still hurt,” he smirked, thinking about how differently he would have been. He probably would have been some psychopath or worse a freaking emo. “They didn’t want to hang out with you just because of that. They wanted to be like you Brooke because you are one of the most beautiful, funniest and the nicest I know. They wanted to be your friend because you were simply nice and being friends with you made them feel good about themselves. It’s not a bad thing, you know.”
“You know I’m not good at acting so you would probably know that I’m not pretending so you wouldn’t have to pretend not to know,” he laughed, unsure if what he had just said made any sense. Talking back to her assignment, he couldn’t help but laugh out loud as he said, “it would be a good script. How about it be about someone who had been in jail for ten years due to some crime that I can’t think of at the moment. It could be of his journey as he tried to adapt to society today and the struggles of getting a job but he could fall in love and shit along the way. It sounds shit at the moment but at least it’s different, right?” He shrugged as he looked down at his whiskey, “I’m fine. I just felt like having a drink. I would have vodka but I don’t like the taste.”
“Well I’m glad you feel comfortable around me. I mean, you shouldn’t be embarrassed to tell your friends. It’s not that bad,” he shrugged before laughing, “I know I’m really, really great.” He raised his eyebrow as he watched her stare at him, feeling slightly confused, “what’s wrong? Do I have something on my face that shouldn’t be there? Well, minus the make-up...” he said as he looked down to his nose making his eyes go cock-eyed as if that would make him see. “Now who’s sweet?” he laughed as he hugged her to his chest, kissing the top of her head, “I don’t think you have any idea how much I love you, Brooke. I mean, you’re the only person I would probably hate to lose,” he said honestly, laughing quietly, “I hope you find that person. I really, really do.”

She nodded Sometimes people just don’t want to hear the truth, like it would be too much to handle she said. But yeah, that would be worse...I don’t get people who cheat, if you love someon, you don’t cheat on them she shrugged. It makes no sense, the human logic is way too much for me to understand sometimes. she laughed. But I bet in some cases some people know that they are lying and they just won’t admit, like everyone tells them it is okay but really its not, I just think sometimes things are better left unsaid, but saying that I DO hate liars so I don’t know...I am confusing myself. she laughed. That is true. Maybe there should be more vampire shows for the nerds she laughed. I mean they may not be hot but I bet its more entertaining! she said. I guess I just think about it and get angry at how you were treated. It wasn’t fair...I hated the cliques and the social status, it was pathetic she said rolling her eyes. hmm maybe, but some of them were bitches, I guess it made them feel better hanging around with someone who was actually nice...whatever, high school is over now, waaay over...we don’t need to dwell on the past. she smiled.
huh? she laughed That made no sense....yet I think I actually understand what you mean she laughed. Somehow... she smirked. I just must be psychic or something. she laughed. I know what you mean whatever you say she said. No, no I like it! she said about his idea And yeah, it’s different and that is what I like about it she smiled. And you said you wouldn’t be any help... she nudged him and took another sip of her drink. You’re being a very big help she said. Maybe he could have a new identity as well, and be struggling to cope because he can’t be in touch with his family....do they give criminals new identities? I never got why she said a little confused. It doesn’t make sense, it gives them a new life and they could just do what they did before again, with a different identity, but maybe its because they have learnt. she said not wanting to say too much because she knew Lorcan worked as a probation officer...he would probably be able to explain it though, even if she was kind of blabbing on right now, sometimes she would talk so much that she didn’t even know what she was going on about herself really.
Tell that to them she laughed. After just going along with it, some of them would just think I’m a liar, I don’t know though, if they are my friends they would understand right? It just seems so stupid to mention it now she shrugged. She laughed I being around me inflates your ego waaaay too much she laughed. Its fun though. she smiled. She wrapped her arms round him and snuggled into his chest. Thanks, that means a lot to me, I can honestly say that I feel the same way. she smiled, she then slowly leaned in as if she was about to kiss him, but something stopped her. woah...uhh sorry...yeah,...so movies or club? she said getting up.

“I know but sometimes the truth isn’t that bad yet people make such a deal of it. It amuses me how parents tell children not to lie yet adults lie all the time. It’s a bit hypocritical don’t cha think?” He mused before shrugging, “there are a lot of reasons why a person cheats. They’re not happy in the relationship, they’re scare, they don’t realise what they actually have in front of them, etcetera. I agree. The human logic is too complicated to actually talk about now. We’re supposed to be having fun, remember?” He laughed before shrugging his shoulder. “it would definitely be more entertaining and probably more realistic despite the fact that vampires aren’t real.” Thinking about the way he was treated in high school, he couldn’t help but frown. Despite the way people treated him, he had got through it which people rarely ever did. “High school is over but sometimes you need to dwell on the past to realise just how fortunate you are in the present. However your right, we don’t have to talk about that now. High School has been over for a very long time so it doesn’t matter anymore. It’s not like we even see a lot of the people now.”
“Of course you understood. I think you can just speak idiot to be honest,” he laughed before shrugging his shoulders, “what can I say? I’m just gifted when it comes to help you. Having the new identity would be a good idea too.” Hearing her question, he paused for a moment to take another drink of his drink and to ponder on an answer. “Well most criminals don’t get a new identity. The only time they really do get a new identity is if, when they are released, there is a threat on their lives. For most people who do the really bad crimes, they’re put on death row or have such a high prison service time that they really don’t have to worry about ever getting released to get brutally butchered by the public,” he muttered quietly as he moved the glass from his lips, glancing at her with a small smirk on his lips, “does that answer your question at all?”
“If they were your real friends they would understand, yes. It isn’t as if it’s that big a deal really. Fair enough if you ‘bragged’ about how many guys you had had sex with to them but you didn’t, did you? A good tactic is to make it out to be their fault. They’ll soon feel guilty, wouldn’t they?”” He smirked as he imagined he friends stuttering at her. It was a pretty picture. “I believe your ego is huge seeing as you think my ego is like this only around you,” he smirked as he smiled back at her. Wrapping his arms around her tightly, he nodded slowly, “you don’t have to thank me for being there for you. I’d be a sh...” though he couldn’t finish his sentence as he watched her lean in towards him. He was speechless for a moment before shrugging, “we’ll go to the club... though I guess that means I have to change my shirt, right?” He said before pointing to the make-up stain on his white shirt.
