DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Four long scars appear on his right calf. These are from a "fight with a broken fence". In other words, a party that turned wrong.
PHYSICAL APPEARENCE:Gunner towers over the grass, and also most girls his age, at six foot two inches. His arms are lanky from being generally unused while his legs are full of muscle from his constant interaction with his skateboard. He keeps his dirty blonde hair at a surfer kind of length, unless the school absolutely forbids it. Chocolate brown eyes seem to stare off into the distance most of the time, and absolutely light up whenever he sees anybody he knows. From constant whitening with Crest Whitening Strips, his smile lights up a room as his lip piercing chills at the right side of his lips.
The veins in his arms and hands stick out greatly, and some people find it weird, while other people find it "hott". Scars have, over the years, appeared on his body in simulated lengths, this was from his bought with depression and cutting. The others, however, that are of different lengths and varieties come from constant clumsiness, lack of multi tasking skills, and spills on his skateboard.
His feet are a size 12 in men's shoes and whenever he wears anything that don't have a bulky tongue on them, he looks like a clown. This, however, he didn't notice until someone told him. Now, he only wears his uniform shoes with great trepidation and self consciousness. His hands are also big and strong looking. You know what they say, big hands... (Ha. Ha.)
CLOTHING STYLE:Gunner's clothing style definitely varies on what he's feeling like that day. Usually, he'll scramble into some skinny jeans, a band t shirt, and he's out the door. However, if he's just not at all feeling the whole jeans thing, and I'm sure we all know what that feels like, he'll hop into some sweat pants instead.
However, when he's not feeling like a lazy bum, he usually takes a good amount of time to dress himself. At least, that is, for a male; he even has a full length mirror. Plus, he always has to match. No matter what Stacey and Clinton say (not that he watches that show... -cough- -cough-) he will never put navy blue and black together. It just won't be happening. However, since jeans match with almost everything, he normally doesn't need to put all too much thought into things. Since he's a relatively skinny boy he loves shirts that are at least slightly form fitting. He doesn't go by that whole new trend where guys buy three times their size.
Going by this, he likes his jeans skinny, but not terribly so. He stays away from "skinniest" jeans at PacSun and "Super Skinny" jeans at Zumiez. He feels that only girls should be wearing jeans that tight. And not even all girls, although most do anyway, to his eyes' dislike. Another thing about Gunner's jeans, is that you will almost never see him in light wash jeans. He prefers dark, almost as dark as you can go without being black. Although, he will wear black jeans. So, basically, if you see him wearing light jeans, take a picture, because you probably won't be seeing it again anytime soon.
LIKES: History, English, skateboarding, girls... ;] , photoshop, friends, music, snowboarding, and animals.
DISLIKES: Mozart, The Catcher in the Rye, nasty teachers, players, people who take pity on him just because his father left, puking, sluts who flaunt that they're sluts, feeling unsure of himself, and embarrassing himself, which happens quite often..
STRENGTHS: Skateboarding, snowboarding, and not caring what other people think. Or, at least, the people who aren't close to him.
WEAKNESSES: Letting what people close to him say get to him, girls... ;] (all of these winky faces will soon make sense.), and riding a bike-who knew!?
GOALS: To someday become either an architect, a famous snowboarder or skateboarder, or something that will make him successful enough to support both himself and, hopefully, his future family.
FEARS: Failure, and rejection.
HABITS: Gunner has a habit of biting the inside of his cheeks, which, consequentially leave him with a very weird face on most of the time. He also has a tendency to repeat the words "legit", "dude", and "sweet" over and over again.
OVERALL PERSONALITY:Gunner's eyes are always open. He's a curious human and is always questioning everything anyone ever tells him. You could tell him that his eyes were brown, which they were, and he would ask "Are you sure?".
While not always being logical, Gunner is always saying something. Like most girls, he can almost never keep his mouth shut for more than two seconds. Even if you put duct tape on it, he would find a way to communicate to you. Communication, in his eyes, is the key to living. Without communication, many things could go wrong, as they have in the past. For this reason, he is fascinated with other languages. He thinks it's impotent to the human race to know as many languages as possible, this way, everybody will always understand what everybody else is talking about. The United States in itself has made so many mistakes in the past simply because there was not a translator on hand, it's slightly ridiculous.
He believes strongly in making everything simple. Give him drama and he'll simply turn his back on it. Tolerating drama, he feels, is like tolerating war, but in a teenage society. While he believes it may make some things more interesting (movies, books, poems, etc.) he believes that in real life, it is as useless as a boat when you need a car.
In basic terms, Gunner is a minimalist. A very open minded minimalist.

HISTORY:Well, as previously stated, Gunner has one parent. Also, as previously stated, his father left of his own free will. There was no dramatic climbing point, there was no car crash that left Gunner's family devastated, no husband, no father, he just left. Simple as that, packed his bags and left.
Now, that's not to say no one knows where the heck he is. In fact, both Gunner and his mom do know where he is, the only thing is, they tend to ignore it.
Every holiday when cards, post cards, packages, or anything else of the sort arrives at his house marked "Henry Jake Denlinker" (Yes, that's right, both Gunner and his mother changed their names back to her maiden name when he left) they are promptly searched for anything of value (money, presents, food, etc.) and then thrown out. No notes are read, no thanks given, they are just searched, and to the garbage with them!
You see, Gunner's mother, Audry, is still hurting over the fact that Gunner's father, Henry, left with no warning. There was no note, no "Thanks for the memories!" no nothing. Just an empty side of the closet, a made side of the bed, a few things around the house taken, and no two cars in the driveway. To this day, Audry doesn't know why Henry left, and therefore, Gunner doesn't either. Sure, if Audry really wanted to know, she could've just read some of the letters, sure if she really wanted to know, she could at least answer some of his calls. But she didn't want to know. She didn't want to know what was wrong with her, what made him so angry that he couldn't take it anymore and just left. She didn't want to know that her hair was too long, her eyes a boring colour of brown. She didn't want to know this, and therefore, she forbid herself from knowing.
When the divorce papers came, she signed them, no questions asked. When she went to court for their possessions, she gave him everything he wanted, simply so that he would get the hell out of her life.
Gunner's history pretty much revolves around his mother's life, and so, as previously stated, he has spent no more than a year in any one school since his father left them when Gunner was in sixth grade; his last year of elementary school. This doesn't necessarily bother him, however. He just sees it as another challenge in his otherwise normal life. His challenge for this year, and every previous year is to make friends, get good grades, don't give his mom any extra stress by getting suspended or expelled, and have a good time. How hard can that be?
