Sitting in his bedroom for over an hour, Isaac got bored of the prospect of having to stay in his room all day being so called 'grounded'. All because Cargo had been in his father's study, which was more like an office with a television in it. But, Isaac had avoided worse punishment like Cargo being sent to the pound, even though his father absolutely hated the pup, Isaac and his mother loved the big golden retriever. That's why within an hour of his dad leaving for work, Isaac opened his closet got out of his pajama pants and put on swim trunks, a t-shirt and shoes, plus a few different things for his journey. After doing so, he made a stampede out of his room and told his mother he was going out. She smiled at him knowing that he did not deserve to be grounded but still had a weary glance, warning him to be home in time so that his father would not be angry. It's not to say his father was a bad guy, but he just got frustrated rather easily, and there were a few things that could always send him over the edge, one of them being Cargo. Another being when he saw Isaac was not taking his ADHD medicine, and the last would be if he ever found out that Isaac was curious about males as well as females. Though Isaac was not going to tell his father about that any time soon. Grabbing his car keys of the hook, he waved at his mother and walked out the door.
Getting in the jeep, Isaac put the key in the ignition and started the motor. Within a minute he was on the road, on a sparatic journey on the saturday morning. After maybe five minutes of driving, Isaac stopped the car abruptly, thinking that he might have wanted to take Cargo with him but he was already almost to his stop, and he really wanted to get there quickly. So, he decided Cargo would be another trip. Turning up the radio, he finished the drive and pulled into the sandy parking lot surrounded by dunes. Getting out of the car, Isaac put his keys in his drawstring bag and walked down the wooden pieces in the sand and boulders which were used as stairs. Hopping down two at a time, Isaac jumped into the sand and watches as the sand flew around him momentarily caught up in a wind. When the small tornado of sand was over, Isaac made his way across the sand, letting it seep in between his toes and flip flops. He was getting more and more giddy with every step he took.
His eyes focused on the perfect place he wanted to set up base for the day, and he ran to it without any delay. The only thing that was different from any other space on the beach was that there were big boulders in this certain area of the sand that lead all the way out until it touched the waters edge. However, where he was, the waves never carried out this far, so he knew he was fine. Tugging his towel out of the bag, he lay it down on the rock and put his bag down next to it. After, he pulled of his shirt and dropped it where he stood before bolting off the rock he was on. He landed on one in front of it, then another until he made it to the water. At that point, Isaac jumped in head first, smiling that goofy smile of his. Submerged under water, he stayed under as long as possible until he couldn't stay under longer. Breaking the surface, he gasped for air before swimming back to shore. When he made it back, Isaac shook out his hair, letting drips of water tumble of his platinum hair. Quickly he skipped back to his boulder and pulled himself on top. Lying down on his towel, Isaac stared straight into the sun until he was forced to close his eyes. The heat blaring down on him, Isaac went into a lull of sleep, looking as innocent as a baby.

This was the main reason he didn't like big crowds, unless he was t a concert; he was too accustomed to being alone. This was also the reason he was such a good cook because, really, who wants to live off of TV dinners their whole lives? However, today, he was tired of being alone. He was tired of sitting there, doing nothing, and having no friends because he a. never did anything and b. was always the new kid in town. Pus, he had heard there was a pretty nice beach not too far from here. Deciding that he'd better do it before he got too lazy again, Gunner got off his bed slowly and ambled over to his computer.
After looking up the address and throwing on some clothes, Gunner was on the road, hoping his sometimes finicky GPS was going to work with him for once. In no time, however, he began to see sandy beaches and smelled the salty smell of the ocean. Smiling to himself, he continued on and when he finally slowed down his car, it was only to find a parking spot. Surprisingly, this wasn't a hard task and he was parked in no time. Grabbing some essentials from the passenger side seat, suntan lotion, towel, iPod, and a gym bag to put them all in, he set out into the early afternoon sun to find a nice spot on the sand for him to lay down. Corresponding with there being plenty of empty parking spots, there were also plenty of empty spots on the beach. However, the one spot where he usually sat seemed to be occupied. Frowning slightly, he walked over to the rockier side of the ocean and looked around to see if there was any spot near there where he could set up. There was, luckily, a spot right next to his usual that was neither far enough to way to not be a good spot or close enough to the other to be disrespectful to the other person's stuff.
Smiling to himself, he laid out his towel and was just putting suntan lotion on his face, the only real place he needed it, when a boy came splashing out of the water and promptly laid down and fell asleep.
'Man,' Gunner thought, 'anybody who could fall asleep that quickly need like, a medal or something.' Shrugging, he continued to apply his suntan lotion until he was sure that he was all covered and there were no blatant white spots. It wasn't that Gunner was like somebody's mother with the applying of suntan lotion, it's just that he knew that if he didn't put it on at least his face, he would be as red as a lobster the next day and that was just not a fun time. After he was sure that it was all rubbed in, he lay down for a few moments so that it could sink in and not just rub off when he went into the ocean. He had had way too many incidents with suntan lotion in his eyes to make that mistake again. That stuff burns!
After Gunner was finally sure that it had all settled into his skin, he got slowly to his feet-his knees had been giving him a problem lately-and walked along the beach for a few seconds. He loved the ocean, but another thing he loved was just walking and thinking to himself about things that were bugging him and, since he had just moved here, there were a whole bunch of things bugging him. After only a few seconds, however, he returned to the rock where he had left all his stuff, and looked out into the water. Smiling, he started running and curled himself up into a ball before hitting the water. The splash was so huge that a pretty good amount of water had hit the boy that he had set up next to, bu the didn't realize this and therefore didn't say sorry, he just kept swimming.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - \\ WORD COUNT: 692 !? \\ STATUS: done!(: !? \\ TAG: isaac/hex !? \\ WEARING: this !? \\ LYRICS: all time low;;nothing personal !? \\ NOTES: grr my link still isn't working. !? \\ CREDIT: xosunflower@ caution2.0!?&&blank pages !? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

As Isaac lay under the sun his mind was filled with images of seagulls, or maybe pelicans he did not really know the difference. But, either way, they were freaking him out, moving towards him, he was surrounded. No matter what he did to try and shake them off they did not budge. He moved his hands all around to the invisible birds, trying to get them to fly off, why wouldn't they move? Isaac groaned in annoyance and turned on his side so that he wasn't facing the birds, or at least in his dream he did. In reality he just somewhat contorted his body and looked rather odd doing so. While dreaming, the boy near to him was applying sun lotion, but Isaac had no idea that was happen and just kept dreaming. Sooner or later the 'birds' disappeared in thin air, and Isaac had the rest of his nap in silence. it was one of those dreams he just wouldn't be able to remember and in reality he wouldn't need to remember because he hadn't been dreaming in the first place; it was like a conspiracy inside your mind that would forever confuse you.
Maybe thirty minutes since he first fell asleep, Isaac was awoken by water splashing all over him, he choked on water that fell into his open mouth and had to spit it out immediately, though there was still a salty after taste. Sitting up right now from the sudden wetness, Isaac opened his eyes and tried to find where it had come from. Then he saw him, a guy with brown hair and light skin but that's about all he could see from the back as he started swimming. Isaac was confused, perplexed, bamboozled and any other word that had to do with it. Quickly he got up, shook out his now wet hair again and started running from the rock jumping onto the next. He did not notice or think about the fact that the rocks would be wet from the other jumping in. As he ran he shouted "Hey, wait!" but as he spoke, there was no time for him to notice what was happening to him as he did so. His right foot slipped on the rock and Isaac tumbled over the edge and into the water head first. Luckily, it was deep enough that he didn't break his skull, and he was able to swim up for air.
Spitting out the sea water for the second time today and then took in a large breath, or at least he tried to. But, it was hard because he ended up in a fit of laughter over the whole thing, he found his klutziness quite entertaining. But then he remembered the guy still swimming so Isaac took a moment to stop laughing and began to do a form of best stroke out towards the guy. Again, he stopped for a moment when he though the guy could hear and let himself float in the water. "Hey, wait man, I can't catch up." Isaac laughed again, wondering if the guy had even seen his tumble into the water. Smiling with his bright white smile, he tried to speak again, "Sorry, you woke me up early when you jumped in so I figured I'd say hi and well, I fell in and yeah. The water's really salty today, but that's the sea for ya." He took a breath, "Sorry, I talk a lot, I'll stop." He paused debating if he should speak again, but did so anyways. "I'm Isaac." Under the water Isaac kicked his legs so that he could stay above water without moving forward, just somewhat wading in the water.

Since he didn't realize that he had awoken the boy who had been sleeping next to him, Gunner couldn't imagine what was happening. Swimming around so that he was facing back where the noise was coming from, he watched as the boy flung himself into the water, or rather, tripped into the water. Taking in a sharp breath as he hit the water, Gunner had a horrible feeling that the boy was never going to get back up. He did, however, to Gunner's relief, but then started swimming over to him. Thinking that he surely had the wrong person, Gunner started swimming further away, a little afraid of what this boy was going to do. However, a few seconds later, much to Gunner's surprise, the boy started to talk to him.
Because he, finally, realized that the boy was trying to reach him, Gunner turned back towards him and started to paddle in place so that the boy could "catch up with him". However, when the boy did catch up with him and explained why he had been following, Gunner felt terrible. He knew that he hated it when people woke him up from naps, namely his mother, and felt really bad that he had done it to this boy. Plus, the fact that he had splashed him and /that/ was why he woke up made him feel even worse. There was no way in the world that Gunner could ever imagine waking up to water being splashed all over your face could be a fun thing to do. After the boy had finished his speech, Gunner had found out that his name was Isaac and that salt water was really... salty. Right...
Beside Isaac kind of talking like he was slightly insane, or just had ADD, he was NOT bad on the eyes. This thought, however, startled Gunner. He wasn't used to thinking this way, but found himself doing it more and more often lately. To tell the truth, it was unnerving. In his mind, guys were supposed to like girls. And that's it. He couldn't help thinking, however, if this was just the way he thought because of the fact that a. that's not only what the media told him, but also b. because that's what his mother had always instilled in him. However, lately, Gunner couldn't help but realize that he wasn't ONLY interested in girls anymore. It was a constant struggle in his head and it just wasn't helping at all that the boy standing in front of him was so good looking it left him momentarily flustered. But only momentarily. Gunner wasn't the type of person that got embarrassed, in fact, he was often the one to make fun of people and most often he was making fun of himself.
Smiling at this new found sure-to-be friend, Gunner nodded as he finally finished talking and replied
"Er, hey. My name's Gunner. Sorry about waking you up, I know how that is and it's not exactly fun..." Shrugging, he continued, " "and, uh, yeah, I guess the water would be pretty salty. Sorry about that. Want me to buy you a Gatorade or something to get the taste out of your mouth?" Grinning apologetically, he gestured towards the shore as he offered to buy Isaac a drink and then looked back at his face. Gunner had recently noticed that he had a habit of staring at people when they talked to him or vice versa. He guessed that it sprung from the fact that all throughout school you always heard, 'Eye contact is the key!' and it was much enforced in his house by his mother. However, he had also realized that this made people slightly fidgety. If, instead of maintaining a steady gaze, you occasionally looked away, they felt much more comfortable. Remembering this, Gunner looked down at the waves where, under the water, both of their feet were swishing around, almost hitting each other with each stroke.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - \\ WORD COUNT: 671 !? \\ STATUS: doneeee !? \\ TAG: isaac/hex !? \\ WEARING: this !? \\ LYRICS: all time low;;nothing personal !? \\ NOTES: d'awww. isaac's cute !? \\ CREDIT: xosunflower@ caution2.0!?&&blank pages !? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Wading in the water Isaac kicked back in fourth, looking around when he caught sight of a seagull. He was a bit startle by it, but had no recollection as to why and ended up staring back at the boy who had now finally turned back and swam towards him. Isaac was happy that he had not been ignored in the end, when people did that it made Isaac upset, no one should be left out or treated meanly. Although he knew it wasn't a perfect world and it was bound to happen, he still did not like it. Thus, he was very happy when the boy swam back to him. The smile showed on his face and Isaac just watched the boy until he stopped pretty close to each other. Isaac waved exuberantly at the boy, and then put his hand on top of the water, letting each individual finger tap against the water making a pitter patter rhythm.
Gunner, Isaac thought the name fit the boy now that he looked him over. He had a very refined jaw and was overall cute, plus he had known a Gunner once, he had been a good guy so this one should be to. Though, letting the guys features seep in, Isaac thought the name Maverick suited him as well, though Gunner was snazzy too. Isaac just had a thing for thinking up odd names, like sometimes he wished his name had been Zander or Carter, but he still loved his name all the same. Plus, it'd be annoying to others if he changed his name to Zander when he turned eighteen, which was only a month away. Isaac became happy just at the though, he was going to be an adult, he could do more of whatever he wanted, which he did anyways....now that he thought about it, there wasn't much he could do that he didn't already except change his name, move to Quebec, or go to jail, none of which seemed like very good prospects to him, however much he might like canada he wanted to go to texas even more.
When he heard the apology, Isaac was astounded and shook his head back and fourth, with his blond hair flingy everywhich way, but he wanted to make a point. "No,no,no don't be sorry. Really, it was a refreshing way to wake up. plus, the salt wasn't all that bad, it reminds me of salt and vinegar chips, well minus the vinegar. although, that would be wicked if the ocean was made of water." Thinking about it he laughed out loud at himself, "Actually, scratch that. That's probably a horrible idea, your skin would burn or something." Isaac shook all over at the thought of it, vinegar oceans would hurt quite a lot. Looking up at Gunner, Isaac smiled again, but he bit part of his lip as he did so, thinking that he probably sounded completely insane; well he was, but still. "Sorry, I'm weird. You can mock me if ya like." Isaac shrugged jokingly, since he did not really mean he wanted the guy to mock him.
Isaac's ears perked up at the prospect of a free gatorade, however he did not like the idea for getting it being woken up. He was actually quite happy to have woken up or he may have never met this guy. Besides, he already had a blue one packed away in his drawstring bag, never left home with out one. Watching Gunner, Isaac noticed he had eye contact, and Isaac tried to keep contact as well, as long as possible, kind of like a game. "You really don't need to buy me one, I'd feel bad if I got a free gatorade because you woke me up. I mean if I hadn't been woken up I wouldn't have swam out here." He paused, "But, maybe after we could buy each other a gatorade as friends...b-b-but only if you want to be friends." Hands shook back in fourth trying to signal that if the guy didn't want to be friends that was perfectly all right. Before embarrising himself furthur Isaac let himself fall back in the water and float on his back, looking like he was making a water angel instead of a snow angel.

He couldn't figure out why, however, and even when he looked up, as Isaac had been doing, all he saw was a seagull. Shrugging to himself, he instead focused on the way the boy swam. It almost looked as if his mother had never fully taught him how to swim, for every so often, he would look as if he had completely forgotten what he was doing and would flounder there for a few seconds before seeming to remember it. What Gunner couldn't tell, however, was it was just because he didn't know the movements of swimming, or if a thought had suddenly caught him, mid stroke. This whole ritual of swimming, with him floundering every few seconds, was actually quite endearing and made him, if it was possible, even cuter in Gunner's mind. As soon as this thought had escaped the deep confines of Gunner's head, he shot his eyes straight at the water. He had to stop thinking like this, it wasn't right, it wasn't normal, that's what he'd always been told, that's what he believed. Other people could be gay, he wasn't going to stop them and didn't find anything wrong with it, but that wasn't who he was... Was it? No, he confirmed to himself (although still something wavered in the deep core of his thoughts) that wasn't who he was. He was, most certainly, straight, he definitely liked girls. Of course, he could only barely ignore that small thought in his head that told him that there was something luring about boys too and that it was possible to like both of the sexes. Thoroughly disgusted with himself, Gunner tried to focus on his feet, kicking through the water as he bobbed up and down, he tried to follow them in their paths until he was no longer thinking about all of this.
As soon as the Isaac caught up with him and started refusing his apologies, though, Gunner realized once again just how enticingly innocent he seemed. He seemed to say exactly what was on his mind, without filtering any of it. It was like his thought process was exactly what he said. This was truly an advantage to some people, seeing as Isaac didn't even seem to filter what he thought of people, however, everything he had said so far was relatively harmless, which was interesting. Looking quizzically at the boy, Gunner started to wonder if, when Isaac's thoughts turned dark, they would suddenly hide themselves, or if he was just brutally honest with everybody he met. This would not be a downfall at all for Gunner, who was about the most honest person that you would ever meet. Unless it was clear that he shouldn't open his mouth, Gunner would tell things like they were and was never afraid to hide how he felt about things.
Only half paying attention to Isaac rambling on about the ocean and being made of vinegar, Gunner instead decided to start to study his face. It was a very nice face, all sharp angles, especially his jaw line, with a very straight nose and relatively blue eyes. He looked exactly as innocent as what he was talking about sounded. Paired with his almost-white blonde hair, this boy could be an angel in disguise. He sure was pretty enough to be one. Eventually, Gunner's eyes made their way down his body and he noted that not only was this boy pretty in genetics, but it also looked as if he had not eaten since last December. On his wrists, you could see the knobs where his bones poked out and his hip bones almost looked like someone took a cookie cutter to his v. Shivering slightly, Gunner blushed. Of course this boy couldn't hear what he was thinking, but oh, if he could, it would not be a good thing. Even more unnerving was the fact that he was thinking these things at all. Setting his jaw, he made himself look back in the boy's eyes and pay attention to what he was saying, once again trying to divert his mind from the thoughts that he couldn't escape.
All of a sudden, as soon as he came back down to earth, Gunner realized that Isaac had asked if they wanted to be friends and the red in his cheeks deepened considerably yet again. It seemed that, since Gunner had taken so long to reply, the boy had gotten bored and had flipped himself onto his back where he was slowly wading away from Gunner on the tide of the waves. Ungracefully realizing this, Gunner clambered over to the boy's new position and promptly insisted,
"Of course I want to be your friend." Smiling, and forgetting that he was still swimming towards the boy, he without realizing he was so close, bumped straight into Isaac, his head actually hitting Isaac's hip. Scolding himself inside his head, Gunner set his concentration back on full and swam slightly away from him so that they at least had a nice personal space bubble between the two of them before starting to talk again. "I'm new here, in case you couldn't already tell… And well, I really don't know anybody… So, a friend would be great. If you want, we could do something tonight, you could show me around town if you want, or we could go get something to eat somewhere, I really don't know where anything is, but uh, yeah." Gunner's abrupt stop was due to the fact that he had suddenly realized that he himself had now adopted Isaac's babbling tendency and had made sure to cut his sentence short so that he didn't look too foolish. Now, he just swam around in the water, wading his hands in and out and watching the water fall over them, waiting for the boy's response.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - \\ WORD COUNT: 992 !? \\ STATUS: doneeee !? \\ TAG: isaac/hex !? \\ WEARING: this !? \\ LYRICS: all time low;;nothing personal !? \\ NOTES: gunner's in some weird stage atm. !? \\ CREDIT: xosunflower@ caution2.0!?&&blank pages !? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Isaac had never been the best at swimming, but he tried his hardest, and that's what he had done when trying to reach Gunner. However, mid stroke he would always forget to keep going, since he was a kid that would always happen. Luckily he wasn't doing backstroke, because when he was looking up at the roof or sky while doing it he always ended up falling asleep or stopping in the middle of swimming to count something above him. Even though it was fun for him, lots of people got mad at him for it, especially one time when he did a summer swim team in 4th grade. In the middle of a hundred im he stopped swimming completely and just floated down to the other end before getting out of the pool. He was supposed to swim 3 more of those but had left wanting to go say hi to his parents who he'd seen walk in minutes before he swam. Needless to say, the swim team did not ask him to come back the next summer. When he had finished the stroke and spoken to Gunner, Isaac just watched him, singing a song quietly in the depths of his mind, kind of like elevator music that only he could sing and hear inside his head, something by The Xx, called CVS, or VCR or something along those lines with three letters and a V. It was an odd song, but Isaac liked all the random percussion and bells, he wished he knew how to play it, but he was no good at stuff with actual notes, he could only play a drum set well, and the only reason he was able to get through songs was because he was always thinking of what happened next in the song and never focused on what was happening that moment he was playing.
Returning his thoughts back to the boy after the song finished, he noticed he was flushed and shivering momentarily. Instinctively, Isaac's hand shot out and went to the guys shoulders to hold him straight. "Are you cold or something? Maybe we should get out, do you feel hot, cause you could have a fever, which could lead to hypothermia." Letting go, Isaac realized that they were not exactly friends yet and it would be a bit awkward for him to randomly care so much about someone, but that was just the type of guy he was. He hated to see people sick, even the thought of it got Isaac worried and usually if he thought they looked it, Isaac got carried away like now and he would just do whatever he felt necessary. Blushing at his stupidity Isaac looked up at the clouds. "Sorry, habit. I'm betting I just overreacted right? Sorry." Isaac made a fist and lightly tapped his own noggin as if to show his stupidity and laughed it off easily. Having fallen onto his back, Isaac didn't see the collision until it took place. When he felt hair rub against his side near his hips, Isaac laughed because it tickled and then he tipped on his side and fell under for a second before bobbing his head above water. It had startled him a bit, but he still found it hilarious.
Opening his mouth for just a moment, a long, drawn out yawn escaped Isaac's mouth an he laughed at bit more, he always found it funny when he or someone else yawned. Especially when another person caught the yawn and then another and another and it went on to be a yawning chain. His thought went on a tangent wondering how long the longest yawning chain was, he wondered if it was over a hundred people and where it could possibly have taken place. He smiled to himself, really wanting to know what ad where it was taken place. Letting his thoughts calm down once again, Isaac set his ears to listening to Gunner who had begun to speak. Before Gunner even finished the phrase Isaac was smiling from ear to ear. "Really? Awesome!"
Letting himself stop laughing, Isaac nodded. "Yeah, I didn't recognize you earlier, and I've lived here all my life, so I know most people in this town. But I'm glad you want to be friends, it makes me really happy." He paused thinking of what they could do, "Yeah, hanging out sounds like fun, I just have to persuade my parents to lift a ban on me going anywhere today, considering my mom already let me out once today. My dad found my dog sitting on his couch, he was a tad annoyed. But, he said I only had to stay in till like 4, so after that tonight we should totally hang out. Like maybe we should go to the park, the park is huge and afterwards you can get to anywhere else from there, it's pretty convenient." Isaac had to take a long breath in order to speak again, "We could like eat at starbucks or something, that way you'll know how to get there, or maybe mcdonalds I dunno, I'm not good at planning. But hanging out sounds like fun, I've never gotten to be a tour guide before." He smiled.

Noticing that Isaac seemed to be lost in thought once again, he took the time that he wasn't paying attention to let his own mind wander. Lately, he had been in such a turmoil with his own mind, he didn't even know what to think, but the waves were so calming, he figured this might be his only chance to actually think for a while. Looking over at Isaac swimming, floundering, floating, yet all the while smiling, he knew that he certainly had a lot to think about. Of course, Isaac wasn't the first one who had made Gunner challenge his feelings, but he was certainly setting a record for how many times he could second guess himself in one day. It truly was unnerving, feeling like you didn't know yourself, almost like he'd been living a lie, but that couldn't be it, that was way too melodramatic. He figured that if he really was...gay...he would know, without a doubt, though. He was only halfway sure at the moment and, well, that had to count for something, right?
Sighing, he looked back up and noticed Isaac was talking to him again. Luckily, this time, he had noticed in time to catch what he was saying. Unfortunately, Isaac had noticed his shivering, luckily, however, he had misinterpreted it. As Isaac put his arms around Gunner's shoulder, it was almost as if something had shocked him. As soon as he jumped slightly from the sensation, Isaac took his arm off, looking abashed. Before he could stop himself, Gunner frowned slightly and moved closer to Isaac, wishing that he could just grab his arm and put it back... An overwhelming desire to hit himself came over Gunner as soon as he had this thought and he deflated so violently he almost went under water because he forgot to keep paddling with his feet. Clambering to get back up to his normal floating level, Gunner frowned again and quickly drew himself further away from Isaac. Shaking his head, Gunner looked back up at Isaac and replied, "No... That wasn't why I was shivering." And gave a half smile, not completely sure why he had admitted that. Then shook his head as Isaac tried to apologize, "Hey," he started, looking straight in Isaac's eyes, "you don't have to be sorry about everything." Realizing that his hair was almost dry and the sun was beating down relentlessly on them, Gunner flipped backward under water to re-wet himself and when he came up finished, "I'd rather have someone care too much than not care at all." He gave another half smile and shook his head, splattering everything near them with little droplets of water from his hair.
After Isaac yawned, it was, of course, Gunner's turn to yawn, as those things were usually pretty contagious. Smiling at how excited Isaac was that they were friends, Gunner couldn't help but notice that his stomach had done a backflip at not only the boy's laugh after his yawn but also the smile that had broken across Isaac's face. It made him even happier that Isaac was happy that they could be friends and had to stop himself from letting a full blown smile to etch it's way across his face. This was so unlike him, he just wished he could go back to bed and try to start this day over. It was way too confusing already and it was only somewhere around two in the afternoon.
Between Isaac's excited banters of what they could do that day, Gunner looked out over the ocean and wondered if all people in this town were this excited over everything. He figured that it could get slightly if not extremely exhausting after a while, both for the person who was so excited and the one experiencing the excitement. Maybe that was why Isaac was alone at the beach today. Mentally shrugging, Gunner let his eyes stray back to the boy just as he had finished his sentence about being a tour guide. "What's at the park?" Gunner wondered aloud, because, if it was just like swingsets or something, he might want to just stay home. He didn't exactly feel like hanging out with a bunch of little kids, Gunner didn't really like kids and the few that he had to be around either through family or babysitting didn't exactly seem to like him either. So, being around a bunch of wound up kids at a park didn't exactly seem like his type of deal, but who knows, maybe it could be fun. It would probably be a lot more fun than just sitting at home doing nothing again, at least. 'Plus,' started a thought in his head, a thought that Gunner was pretty sure he was going to regret having, again, 'Isaac will be there and, well... that can't be bad.' Yep. Just as he had expected. This whole thing was so confusing he was actually just considering staying in his house the whole day, at least if he was asleep he could escape his thoughts. And even if they came out in dreams, at least he'd forget them the moment he woke up. Sighing, he looked over at Isaac's excited face and replied, "McDonald's sounds good. I never know what to order at Starbucks and end up just looking like an idiot." Shrugging off his last comment, Gunner started to swim over to the front of the beach. When he got to somewhere he could actually stand and didn't have to swim he stopped and turned back to Isaac, smiling and nodding his head in a motion that said 'come over here'.

Letting his lips part to form silent words as the song progressed in his mind, Isaac bopped his head back and fourth slightly, letting the beat kind of form a long with the words. Not even finished with the song, his thoughts wandered to other things. Today he needed to wash his clothses. Trying to remember how exactly you worked the machine, Isaac bit his lip in contemplation. The last time he had washed his clothes maybe a week and a half ago he ended up making a sudsy mess all the way into the hall way and it although it was fun ot play in it was not fun to clean up. He had never been one that was good at cleaning, only making the mess. But, it wasn't really a skill to be able to make a mess, he was just very good at doing so on a regular basis usually from silly mistakes and being klutz, but he found it entertaining, he never had a dull moment in his life; well he had, but those weren't fun times to remember. Pulling himself away from the odd thinking, he opened his eyes again and watched Gunner. Fascinated by the guy he watched, he really thought the guy seemed interesting, and he also just really wanted to be friends with him. For all he knew it could be fate they become friends, though Isaac wasn't even sure if fate existed, he just believed in having fun, that was the law in his mind.
After being a bit to worried about Gunner, Isaac had pulled away only to find Gunner frowning, maybe he actually was sick? Isaac was a bit confused at that point but just decided to try and pay closer attention to make sure he didn't faint or something. His plan was not the smartest though, because he ended up just looked bug eyed trying not to blink and miss a moment. He stared at the boy with the non blinking eyes for no longer than a minute before he could not hold it any longer and he blinked. Lifting his palm to his forehead, Isaac slapped himself lightly; not even caring if he looked totally insane in the past few minutes; he had just been worried. but Gunner's words somewhat assured him that he wasn't sick, but Isaac still had no idea why the boy had been shivvering. 'Oh, okay, well that's good, cause I don't know cpr, so I don't think I could save you if you fainted or something, which I guess doesn't make me the best person to be at the beach with if you don't know how to swim. But seeing as I saw you swim i think you should be okay." Smiling some more, Isaac paddles his hands around in the water, scooping water as he moved. But, he looked up instinctively when he heard the other speak again. Hearing what Gunner said, isaac wasn't sure if he should feel like he was being scolded or be happy, it was an oddly mixed feeling of emotions. Lifting his hand, it parted through his blond locks, rubbing against the back of his head as he spoke again. "yeah, I know, I guess it just comes naturally you know. It's like regular speach pattern for me, which probably isn't good because someday I'm going to say it and people aren't going to believe me when I say it. I mean I never lie when I say it, cause' lieing isn't good to make a habit of, but I just say it about stupid things to be sorry about. He almost said the words sorry and apologize again, but bit his lip and let his hair fall in front of his eyes a bit, now he felt a tad embaressed that Gunner had noticed how much he said it. After saying it, Gunner fell backwards and at first Isaac thought he actual was fainting and panicked, moving forward to grab him, but afterwards he realized the boy was just rewetting himself. but it was to late and Isaac fell forward doing a forward roll under the water before breaking the surface once again.
Letting himself float above the surface once again, Isaac positioned himself so he didn't need his hands to stay a float, instead he was ablt to do so by just kicking his feet back and fourth under the water. Not long aftere, Gunner came back up from getting wet and Isaac barely had enough time to lift his hands to cover his eyes as the boy shook out his hair letting droplets of water splatter everywhere. After which, isaac noticed his own hair was still dripping wet from falling forward and he shook his own hair out until it ended up plastered with jagged points to his skin. That was his retaliation for Gunner splashing him with water, even though Isaac was pretty sure the guy had not meant to splash him, he still had felt like doing it back. Smirking, isaac stuck out his tongue playfully at the boy, somewhat teasing him as if he had won a game of war like little kids would play. Stopping himself from looking weird anymore he put his tongue back where it should be and looked up at the sky momentarily mesmerised by a cloud shaped like a turtle.
Focusing back down on Gunner instead of the turtle in the sky, Isaac thought about the different stuff he was talking about going to with Gunner. There were actually quite a few places he could go, but the park seemed like the best option, well it was his favorite place anyways. but maybe that wasn being conceited, Isaac wasn't sure, he just thought it was a nice place and a good welcoming place to someone new. How to explain it, he thought, without even taking time to think an answer fully through he started speaking. "I dunno, i guess the park is just a nice place. If you can believe it, when I want to be alone or think it's where I go. but's also just a fun place, I personally like sitting on top of the jungle gym so I can see the rest of the people playing there games, or lyng on top of the castle structure and watching the clouds. he pointed at the sky as an example. "But they have a dog park too, and paths, and a river running through the whole thing into this lake type thing. And if your into flowers there are a ton of garden and stuff, like theres a rose garden but personally i think it's amaze cause' I always get lost in it, but it smells nice." He took a heavy breath after speaking so much. Thinking about it just made Isaac smile once again, he wondered if Gunner liked dogs, Cargo would definately love him, he loved everyone, but some of his frineds were either allergic to dogs or just hated them, which was really a bummer, but he didn't want that to be with Gunner, Cargo would like him. "McDonalds it is. Really? You should do what i do and ask for them to choose for you, that way you always try something new and never complain if you don't get exactly what you order, I ended up getting some yummy chocolate frozen drink. Stopping his speach about chosing coffee, Isaac watched as the boy began to leave and for a moment thought that gunner had got annoyed with him and left, but when he stopped and motioned for him to come over. Isaac was able to breath again, and smiled happily. Jumping under the water, he tried to make it back towards the guy without out breathing, but he almost made it before he had to go up gasping for breath a yard or so away. So, he walked the rest of the way and mumble to himself, "I almost made it too."
