It was still summer, so he knew he would not be interrupted by teachers or other students. He walked into the center of the field and sat down, his legs splayed out in front of him his left slightly turned. His baby, a Cannon Rebel camera, resting against his chest, hanging off of its neck strap just waiting for the opportunity to take a picture. With a sigh he folded his hands behind his head, into his hair which stood up in an afro-like formation because he had been to lazy to gel it down, and laid back, watching the thin clouds move lazily across an increasingly lightening sky. It had been a good night last night, his Dad had drank himself into a stupor and passed out in his bed at 8, leaving Lukas alone for the entire night.
As he watched the clouds float, he thought about his Mom, Dad and how his life had gotten so…screwed up. Some of his earliest memories were of his parents fighting. Wryly he wondered if they had fought before he was born or if he caused all of their problems. He wouldn’t be surprised if it was the latter, he did seem to screw stuff up quite frequently. He also thought of Zach and Joey, his other family. He wondered idly if they ever worried about him, wondered how he was doing with his Dad. He knew his Mom had told Zach that his Dad was violent and had hit her before. Was it really that hard to believe that he would change targets to his son?
He pulled himself out of his thoughts as a brown butterfly fluttered past him, and landed on the grass near by, making him smile slightly and sit up. Raising his camera off of his neck, he lined up the shot and pressed the trigger, listening to the near silent snap of the capture. Looking at the screen he smiled, it was a really good shot. "Thank you”He whispered to the butterfly as it took off into flight again.
He laid back down into the grass with a content look on his face, thinking of what his little brother would say when he showed him the picture. He planned to go see him today sometime around noon, When he knew the kid would be with the babysitter at the park for free lunch. He went to meet his brother at the park everyday for lunch, seeing as he could still get the free lunch and it was better than going home or asking his Dad for money.

you heard that i was trouble , BUT YOU COULDN'T RESISTJ U S T T A K E A B I T E L E T M E S H A K E U P Y O U R W O R L D- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -The past four days had been terrible. He hadn't been contacted by a single person, which had left him with absolutely nothing to do. He had found a way to entertain himself th first day, when he found trash girl and the mute kid talking in the park. The second day however, he had spent watching television for most of the day. It was good that Aunt Leslie worked all day, or she would have been angry to see that he hadn't even stood up from the couch all day. He watched mostly gameshows. The third day, he met a girl at Starbucks, who had been fairly interesting.
Finally, a day had come where Aedden actually had plans. He had been starting to get sick of the days where he had nothing to do, even if he had eventually found something. Yesterday he had spent the day on his summer homework, which had sucked majorly. So he had been very estatic when Riley called him and asked him to meet him in the creek behind the hgih school field. So estatic, that he ended up leaving three hours early, which meant that he had nothing to do. He wandered around the school grounds, thinking about memories had had for each spot. There, he had made trash girl cry. There, he and Riley had gotten in trouble for spray painting the wall. So many memories.
Finally, he found himself with no where left to go, since the school was locked and wouldn't be open for another two weeks. He headed to the field, thinking that maybe someone would be there. It was a common drinking spot for a lot of his friends, although usually they did that at night. Maybe he would get lucky though, and it was worth a try. Maybe he would find something interesting to do. He walked slowly, his fet hitting the pavement with a dull thud. It was a nice day out today, which is probably why Riley wanted to blaze in the creek today. It was nice to know that Riley had been sick for the past three days, which was why he hadn't been contacted. He had been worried that they were starting to see through him.
He stepped onto the field, glancing around. He saw a person there, so he began walking towards them, wondering if it was Riley. Something flew towards him, and he swatted it away, hitting it to keep it from landing on him. It had probably been a bee, which he was allergic to. He continued walking and as he got closer, he could tell it wasn't Riley. Oh well, maybe this was going to be the person he played mind games with for awhile. He walked closer, finally recognizing the person lying on the ground. Lukas something or other, another fun target of his. "Trying to blend in with the dirt?" he asked, which wasn't the best insult, but it was the first one that came into his mind.

[ I'M WIDE AWAKE AFTER THE RIOT , THIS DEMONSTRATION OF OUR ANGUISH ]this empty laughter has no - - reason like a bottle of your( favorite poison ) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Luke let his eyes drift shut, just allowing himself to bask in the warm sun that was now fully in the sky. It was going to be a nice day, he could tell already. The sun was up, the sky was pretty much clear and there was a slight breeze. He considered taking off his jacket, but decided he was too comfortable to move. The field smelled like fresh cut grass and the smell of flowers was noticeable in the distance. When school started back up, he wouldn’t be able to spend time just lying in the field, well, unless he wanted to be stepped on by stupid jocks…or Aedden.
Whenever he thought about Aedden, he wondered what deity he had managed to piss off to get a huge target painted on his back. He had to endure the pain with his Dad at home, then come to school and take even more abuse. But the worst part was that he couldn’t hate the kid, he just couldn’t. He hated his Father, sure, but this was just a guy the same age as him who thought it was fun to pick on others. He couldn’t quite put his finger on it, but there was a significant difference between the two.
He lay still as he listened to the footsteps walking around the school, praying they would not come his way. But fate had never smiled on Luke as he heard the footsteps come closer to where he was, until they vanished, indicating the person had stepped onto the grass. He listened for any indication of where they were at when he heard the voice. "Trying to blend in with the dirt?" He concealed a flinch and cracked open one eye even though he knew who the voice belonged to. He saw Aedden standing above him, an amused look on his face. He knew that he had just fallen into the other boy’s game.
With a deep breath, Luke sat up and replied”Maybe I am.”
[/color] He awkwardly crossed his legs, trying to think of a way to get out of this situation he was in. When he came up blank, he looked up, meeting the other’s eyes, a tinge of fear and apprehension still in his own. ”What do you want? He wasn’t being a jerk, he was just too tired to deal with his shit today. He had gotten off with his Dad last night and he was feeling good for the first time in days, and as such, he kinda wanted to keep it that way. All he wanted to do was go and see his little brother and have a few hours of fun. Was that too much to ask? you heard that i was trouble , BUT YOU COULDN'T RESISTJ U S T T A K E A B I T E L E T M E S H A K E U P Y O U R W O R L D- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Aedden wished it had been one of his other targets that was lying out on the grass. While he enjoyed bugging Lukas, he didn't really know much about the other senior. It was harder to pick on someone when he didn't know about their weaknesses, simply because it made his mind games so much harder. When he picked on Lukas, it usually tended to be physical only, because he didn't ever know what to say. However, Aedden really didn't feel like getting into a physical battle today, because he was alone. Physical battles were never enjoyable without a crowd rooting for him, they were just a form of eliminating boredom. He was going to have to guess at what would get into Lukas's mind. Sometimes, he was good at that.
Aedden raised an eyebrow at the other senior's answer. It was obvious that he was being sarcastic. When had his targets suddenly gained the confidence to give him sarcasim? Summer was making them feel more confident, and he didn't like it. Without him to bring them down, they were losing their fear of him. Mute kid had actually talked, and trash girl had had the nerve to tell him to stop. When school started back up, he was going to have to remind them all exactly why they had feared him and his group. Him and Riley would take them down, completely. "Sounds fun." he replied, with a bored tone showing clearly in his voice. He simply couldn't think of anything rude to say.
The way Lukas asked him what he wanted bugged him. The tone of his voice was annoying, and Aedden didn't like it. Plus, the question annoyed him because he wasn't exactly sure what he wanted. Entertainment, obviously. But what was he going to do to Lukas that would give him that simple entertainment? Break his camera? Break his face? Neither option seemed all that interesting. "Entertainment." he replied honestly, hoping maybe the other senior's answer would give him somewhat of an idea of how he could annoy him. Why was he so out of ideas today?
