Bobby ran a hand through her hair as she walked up to her newly appointed class. She had, sadly, been told that she was going to be moved to an English class for sophomores. Needless to say, she wasn't all that pleased about this. Bob wasn't the type of person to fail classes. To fail a class, would just be terrible. So, maybe she should be happy for this change. This meant that she wouldn't be failing any classes this year. Or, at least that she wouldn't be failing English this year. Bobby Joe wasn't bad at english class... she had just been so behind for the past few years that it had finally caught up to her and she was being pushed back a year in the class. At least this would mean she would be able to focus more on her other classes. After all, she had already taken this course so it should be a piece of cake. Albeit, she hadn't really gotten a good mark last time... but still.
Bob had been called out of class from her original english course and taken to see the guidance counselor who had then informed her of her new class. She hadn't been all that thrilled about it.. still wasn't either. Class was already half over, and so it was almost worse that she would have to walk into class in the middle of a lesson. She didn't want to make a big scene or anything, but what could she do. This was it. Her new class. The door was closed and gave off a bit of a foreboding feeling to it. Bob's mind sort of went on numb mode as she went and opened the door and pushed it open.
The teacher turned to face her as if she had fifteen heads all protruding from one neck. When Bob fluttered the piece of paper in her hand though, the teacher smiled fakely and took the paper before pointing out a seat to Bobby. She looked over at the desk beside her and smiled softly to the girl who sat their. It was some girl with dark hair, clothes, and makeup. Not waiting for a reaction, Bobby grabbed her book and placed it on her desk, pen poised to write anything important. Nothing truly important was being said though, sadly. Instead, Bob caught herself starting to fall asleep more then once. Not that the lesson wasn't interesting... ok it actually wasn't interesting at all. But, it could of been interesting, vaguely, if the teacher had seemed more... not so boring.
The only thing that actually caught her attention was something about a book report/presentation and your partner being the person seated beside you. Bobby groaned a bit. Her first day in this class, and already she was stuck with a project. Placing her head on the desk while the teacher continued to explain details of the project, bobby day dreamed about the day when she would get out of this school and onto something more. So far, her life hadn't exactly been all that great. By the time she was done daydreaming about all the many things she would be doing after high school, the teacher had moved onto telling them that they should talk to their partners and find out what book they wanted to do. Bobby looked over at the girl beside her, her head still on the desk with her blond hair splayed around her. "Hey, so, book choice is up to you. As long as it ain't totally boring i don't care." Bobby just wanted to get this over with.
