Indie has curly brown hair that goes to her shoulders and occasionally falls into her hazel eyes. She's petite, she takes after her mother that way. Indie is rather outgoing, willing to make friends with anyone and everyone. She's a rather touchy-feely type of person, preferring hugs to words of encouragement and often found holding hands with her few girl friends just because. She loves her friends and is loyal to a fault when it comes to those she cares about. Caring to a fault as well, Indie can't stand to see anyone hurting, emotionally or physically. Indie is a bit of a tomboy, often preferring the company of guys over that of girls simply because there's usually less drama with the guys. She's not much of a sports girl, preferring to watch rather than play yet she manages to stay fit.

When in a good mood Indie is especially outgoing and looks forward to hanging out with her friends. She is full of creative energy, loving to paint and draw during these moments and she will be willing to write happily-ever-after stories. In a good mood Indie will talk to anyone and everyone and usually seems quite hyper and a little crazy. She'll put thought into her clothing choices and take care of herself.

However, in a down mood, Indie blocks herself in. She doesn't talk as much as usual and only puts on a happy face for her friends. She often ends up reading and writing sad stories during this time and will occasionally end up crying for no real reason other than she feels like crap. In a bad mood, Indie is rather pessimistic and sometimes even suicidal, though she's too selfish to commit suicide, or at least that's what she tells herself.

HISTORY:

Indie grew up feeling like she was in the shadow of her big sister. Her sister, Brianna, was a perfect student, if not a little shy, and had done very well in school. Indie on the other hand, had never really liked school, though she had done well enough up until seventh grade when she hit a brick wall and stopped trying. She, of course, loved her sister with all her heart, they were related after all, she just sometimes resented her for being so seemingly perfect.

It was also in the seventh grade when Indie began battling with her mood. It was during one of her 'down moods' as she calls them, when she sent a letter to her sister in college asking what reason she had to be alive. Understandably, her sister sent the letter on to their parents, who had her talk to the school psychologist, at which time she broke down crying in his office for no real reason. It was after that that Indie began seeing her own psychologist and was put on meds for her mood. The meds didn't help much.

In December of the eighth grade, Indie ran away, though she didn't go far. Her parents called the cops to go look for her and they picked her up only a few blocks away, as Indie didn't know where to go and had just been wandering the streets. That was when she changed psychologists and started seeing Marie, her current psychologist who is a lot more helpful than her old one. However, between psychologists, she went to an IOP for a few months. IOP=Intensive Out-Patient Program. Where she met one of her best friends.

Now Indie's in her sophomore year of high school and still struggling with her mood and her family. She has a strained relationship with her work-a-holic of a mother, and feels she doesn't deserve the love of her laidback father. Her sister has moved out, and moved into an apartment in town while working at the local elementary school.
