it is the year 2010.
the government has just opened a pioneering new academy named
the devereaux academy for gifted youth. it promises to enhance the
education of the top students worldwide, catering to all students’ needs.[/font]
as lovely as all of that sounds – it is a lie.
devereaux academy was created for one sole purpose and one alone – to detain
teenagers with superhuman abilities, in fear of them running riot and murdering
millions. what did the government do? naturally, they created a cover story – in
this case, the academy was for selected individuals that expressed exceptional
talent in education. only the government, the pupils, and the parents of the pupils
know the truth – and on pain of death, the parents can’t breathe a word of what
they know. a clever conspiracy, right? wrong. a rebellion’s brewing, and the govern-
ment are the first target on the hit list.
two cliques rule the majority of students at devereaux – there’s the resistance[/b], the
group of students desperate to escape the security-patrolled walls of the academy,
all of them with intent to kill as soon as their escape succeeds. however, fighting
against the resistance are the defence – the majority of people that know they’re in
the academy for their own protection. there’s a war brewing between the two –
although not everyone knows about it. the rest of the students on the outside are
known as the deceived – but they’d better watch out – the resistance will no doubt
be recruiting in any way possible.
with blood spattering everywhere, will devereaux ever be at peace? will anyone
from outside the government find out the truth about the academy for so-called gifted
youth? only time will tell, as everyone’s powers are slowly but surely[/color][/font]
