PHYSICAL APPEARENCE:

Zane is a staggering six feet six inches tall. He has shaggy dirty blond hair and those pretty blue eyes that often lack that glitter a happy person usually has. His eyes are usually full of sadness and lackluster. There are rare times when they are fulled with happiness. He is nicely muscled, but his right side is covered in scars from the near fatal accident he was in. His right side is weaker than his left. So he does spend more time working out his right side. He has 2 tattoos. One of, Kiki 1993-2008 in swirly text. Also, huge phoenix on his back, covering about 75% of it, the colors reds, oranges, yellows and black.

CLOTHING STYLE:

Well.. I guess it depends on his mood. But he can usually be found wearing a form fitting wife-beater, jeans, a studded belt and a comfortable pair of shoes. But other times he can sometimes be found in shorts, slacks, dressy clothes but as said before, it depends highly on his mood, and whether or not he’s going to do art. If he’s going to do art he will wear an old pair of jeans that he loves and an old t-shirt that is covered in paint. when colder, jeans, long sleeved shirts, sweatshirt, boots.

OVERALL PERSONALITY:

Zane used to be one of those happy go lucky carefree young teenagers. His eyes always glittering with happiness, he would laugh, smile, tease. He wasn't afraid to speak his mind, even if his cheek got him in trouble. He was highly independent. When he was with Kiki his was..... he was undeniably in high spirits, anyone could tell. He and his twin were so close. Until it happened.

After the accident his changed. To put it simple. He changed. He got depressed, his art became depressing and dark. To cope with the pain he went through he started cutting himself. He found cutting was relief. At first it hurt him, now it doesn't phase him at all. He has flashbacks of the incident often, so if your talking to him and his eyes glaze over don't take offense. just a horrible flashback he desperately wishes he could forget.

He is very anti-social, often, unless approached, he will just sit there doing art, listening to his iPod and ignore people. His attitude has gotten better, he is a very kind understanding person, and once one gets to know him, very easy to get along with, but know this: Kiki is a tough subject with him. He will talk about her but he gets emotional and twitchy, which means he's getting the urge to cut. He cuts so much because nearly everything sets him off. WHY all these things set him off, he doesn't know, so don't ask him.

He is also a very shy person. Especially with people he likes. He gets shy, blushes, ducks his head. But.. He also has a temper. He's not afraid to protect himself or his friends if attacked, verbally or physically. Though most don't attack him physically because he's not the smallest person in the world. He's tall, broad shoulders, muscular.

HISTORY:

Born in Venice, Italy on the 30th of October in 1993 Zane Darvo and his twin Kiki Darvo had a rather pleasant childhood. He and Kiki grew up with an older brother and sister and a younger sister who is deaf. At a young age he learned sign language and is fluent in it. He is also fluent in Italian, and English. He and his family moved to the United States when he was 6. They moved to Manchester, Kentucky. He and Kiki started 1st grade at the local school in Manchester. They both made friends easily enough.

Zane was the bookwork and more artistic of the two. Kiki was equally artistic but didn't have the heart to do it to the extent that Zane did it with. He did paintings, drawings with charcoals, and many more with nearly every medium made in art. If he didn't like it, he told his parents that they could sell it. They had enough money to last them a lifetime, but still, it got his art out there. He wanted to be an artist when he grew up, he knew it the first time he picked up a paintbrush at the age of 5.

Until the age of 15 Kiki and Zane were nearly inseparable. His parents told them that they would be going to different schools. Both Zane and Kiki were heartbroken to find out they were going to be separated from one another. They had that 'Twin Bond' that people would talk about with twins. They finished each other’s sentences; they always seemed to know when something was bothering the other twin, that closeness that would last forever.

His parents told him that he would be going to a school in Trenton California. At first he protested, as he would be separated from Kiki, as she was going to a school in Italy. But decided that he would go. His family moved to Trenton California, about a half a mile from the school campus. Once he got there, he settled in rather quickly. He found he loved painting the grounds of the school. He would often go to different locations and just paint or draw. Sometimes for hours at a time.

The summer after his freshman year in high school, changed his life forever. His mom, dad, Kiki, and himself were driving home one day from dinner. His younger sister was at home with a babysitter. They were driving, when his dad lost control of the car. He swerved through lanes of traffic before going into a deep ditch some odd 50-60 feet down on the opposite side of the road, the car rolling several times before it stopped. Zane found himself seriously hurt, but not fatally so. His parents and twin were not so lucky. All three of them killed. Zane heart shattered when he saw his sister’s dead lifeless blue eyes. He felt like he lost half of his soul.

His older sister and brother came rushing to the hospital when the heard what happened. Zane was in the hospital in a coma for 2 months after the accident. In a coma mainly because of the head injury he got. He had to go through a few surgeries to help with the damage done to his right arm and right leg. He has metal pins in his leg and arm. During his time in a coma he coded twice, but the doctors were able to bring him back. After he coded the second time, they put a breathing tube down his throat, the tube doing the breathing for him. He woke up about two and a half months later. But remembered what happened, and started crying. After trying to yank out the breathing tube, the doctors took it out. They didn’t want to but they did. Zane did fine without it. After about 24 weeks of intense physical therapy he can walk normally but his right arm and leg are slightly weaker than his left arm and leg.

But Zane couldn't go back to school yet. He stayed with his sister Mercy and her husband for a little over a year. The time he was with Mercy, he fell into a deep depression, nearly wanting to kill himself several times. Has scars criss-crossing on his arms from when he cuts himself. Mercy forced him to go seek help, he did. It has helped quite a bit, but he still has urges and quite often ends up giving in. Slowly he has started to get better, his depression lessening, but he still felt lost. His only real outlet, besides the occasional cutting, was art. His art now was kind of depressing though. But it got his emotions across clearly. He has gone back to Trenton for a sophomore year. Even though he's older, and that he had been home-schooled, he said, rather than skipping a year, he would do sophomore year. He didn't really care.

Mercy and her Husband have moved into their parents home so Zane can continue school. Zane couldn't take care of Coren alone. Yes he made money, selling his paintings, but it wasn't enough to keep them living where they were. So Mercy and Mike came to live with them, Zane's money he made from selling his paintings went into a college fund, and Mercy and Mike supported Zane and Coren.
